About The University of Pretoria
The University of Pretoria (UP) is one of Africa’s top universities and the largest contact university in South Africa. We produce socially impactful research to find solutions for the world’s most pressing issues. We have a high quality of teaching and learning in the classroom, online, or in communities. We have support in place for our students to graduate on time as well-rounded, responsible citizens fully prepared for the world beyond university.
Housing for participants:
Housing is not included in the workshop fee. Several housing options exist. We will provide you with a list of University housing options, B&B’s, and guest houses around campus. You can thus arrange your housing according to your budget.
Subsistence budget provided as a guideline for participants: A person can live comfortably off R300 (at current exchange: $16.41) a day in the Pretoria area. If a participant is here for 22 days, it works out at R6600 (or $361.02 US)(Currency Converter).

HOW TO REGISTER
Anyone interested in attending—whether for 1, 2 or 3 weeks— should fill out the inquiry form. You will be contacted to schedule a short interview (via phone, WhatsApp or Zoom, etc.) to discuss your interest in the program and any prerequisites (where applicable).
Week 1 only: January 6-11Application required. No prerequisite experience necessary. Payment made upon acceptance. Please fill out the inquiry form and we will be in contact about next steps.
Weeks 1-2: January 6-18 Application required. Any introductory somatic learning experience will be accepted. Payment to be completed by 1st of January 2025. Some tuition support available. Please fill out the inquiry form and we will be in contact about next steps.
Weeks 1-3: January 6-25 Application required. Any advanced somatic learning experience required. Payment to be completed by the 1st of January 2025. Some tuition support available. Please fill out the inquiry form and we will be in contact about next steps.
Tuition, Fees, and Housing
African CITIZENS
For participants who are citizens of the African continent (proof such as an Identity Document or Passport will be required). Upon acceptance to the program, payments will be arranged and processed by the University of Pretoria in Rand.
