Please join us for our inaugural Master Teacher Training Seminar. This session is free to all LTRI Members.
What is a Master Teacher Training (MTT) Seminar?
In early 2024, LTRI began a new training program for Master Teachers. In it, participants delve deeply into literature and experimentation with BodyVoice, seeking connections between current scientific studies, accepted wisdom, and Kinesensic training. During the course of the training program, participants are asked to lead three seminars for LTRI: one in Kinesensic movement; one in BodyVoice; and one in ontology.
This session marks the first ever MTT Seminar with our first cohort of Master Teacher Trainers: Our three participants, Anita Jo Lenhart (United States), Valentina Lončarić (Croatia) and Morné Steyn (South Africa) will be joined on October 26 by Susan Lowell de Solórzano for the first seminar. We hope to see you there!
About Susan Lowell de Solórzano
Susan Lowell de Solórzano was a working singer-songwriter and voice teacher in the early 1980's when she began studying T'ai Chi. The holistic fluidity taught in T'ai Chi immediately influenced how she moved and performed. Not long after, Susan discovered Arthur Lessac's Body Wisdom book, and was struck by how much Lessac's teachings dovetailed nicely with the ancient wisdom of the T'ai Chi classic writings.
She first stumbled onto biotensegrity in 2008 while trying to deepen her understanding of the practice and classic writings of T’ai Chi Ch’uan; she has been a student of biotensegrity ever since. Susan began working directly with Steve Levin in 2009, and co-founded the Stephen M. Levin Biotensegrity Archive with Steve and his wife, Olga Cox-Levin, in 2015. Her book, Everything Moves: How Biotensegrity Informs Human Movement was published by Handspring Publishing in 2020 and cites Lessac Kinesensics in the Oscillations chapter. Susan is showrunner/ co-producer/ co-host of the BiotensegriTea Parties, author of the Biotensegrity Archive’s BX101 Guide, and producer of the Colloquy on Biotensegrity & Equine Health. She is also an ATCQA Level III certified T’ai Chi and Qi Gong teacher, and holds an MA in human development and education specializing in kinesthetic learning.
Susan has presented at LTRI conferences and was delighted to participate in online LTRI events during the covid lockdown. She remains an LTRI practitioner member and fan.
